new designs

I'm posting all of my stuff to this wordpress site now :) I actually enjoy wordpress so much more because it acts like a real website rather than just a blog and offers much more to what I need. I would suggest it to anyone who wants to have seperate pages etc. Anyways, back to work!

Moving back to Texas

So it's that time to say i'm done here in Orlando and head back to Texas. I just have a couple of more things to sell, grab some files from the school, and then i'll be ready to head home. It has been fun being here in Orlando and I'm going to miss some things about it. I have updated this blog just a tiny bit and will just be using it to post current works that i've done or stuff that's happening as far as jobs and animation goes. I want to keep this a little more professional since it will be directly linked from my site (should be up soon :)) Hope all is well with everyone and i'll be seeing you soon! Keep Moving Forward!!

tale of the humping turtles

So my friend posted this on his facebook and I thought it was too funny not to share with anyone who looks at this page. At first I thought it was someone just making a funny noise until I saw that it was the turtle actually making the noise which made it funnier! Enjoy!

stardust cafe, french night

unfortunately there were only a couple of people dressed in french outfits. There were some mimes that showed up later on in the evening, but they were talking so I guess they weren't really mimes! This is a sketch I did while just watching people. I am having more fun drawing and sketching. I'm not to where my friend Thor is, but i hope to be able to fully capture the essence of the place i sketch in or the people sooner or later as he does. I guess you have to start somewhere right? I'm also trying to be looser with my sketching so it has more of an organic flow to it and isn't so solid. I'm hoping that eventually when i have a job i'll be able to get a watercolor kit and be able to paint while i sit there as well; I think it adds a whole new dimension to the drawing and atmosphere of the sketch.

Sketch Crawl Sketches

I participated in the sketchcrawl today that was hosted by my friend Thomas Thorspecken ( http://thorspecken.blogspot.com/) . They began at Lake Eola in downtown Orlando at 7am. I showed up in the middle of the afternoon for the last 2 stops that we would be skething at. The first one for me was the Eola Wine company and the second was a lounge called the stardust. They were both laid back places and it was fun to sketch something that I normally don't do.

This last one was sketched by Thomas Thorspecken and it shows me finishing up my previous sketch at the stardust lounge. If you didn't guess it, i'm in the red shirt.
